Passenger transport and logistics firm Fraser Eagle has today launched a new online transport service dedicated solely to schools – thought to be the first of its kind in the country.
All School Transport (www.allschooltransport.co.uk) allows schools across the UK to receive free quotes and book coach transport for school trips and other outings over the internet.
And because Fraser Eagle only works with approved coach companies across the UK, the new service aims to take away teachers’ concerns over whether the coaches they use are safe and legal.
“Organising transport for school trips can place a lot of stress on teachers as they are accountable to parents and school governors and must give massive consideration to health and safety,” says Kevin Dean, Fraser Eagle group managing director.
“Our All School Transport service is delivered using our nationwide network of approved coach suppliers and coach journeys are managed and tracked from start to finish by our 24-hour control centre for complete peace of mind.
“We are confident that there is nobody else in the UK who can provide such a comprehensive managed coach service to schools, offering them safe, efficient and compliant transport.”
Padiham-based Fraser Eagle operates passenger transport throughout the UK, largely through its vast network of approved coach companies.
But before Fraser Eagle allows these companies to work on its behalf, it ensures they meet all the legal standards demanded by the coach industry.
This includes Fraser Eagle’s dedicated compliance team checking with regulatory bodies to ensure the coach supplier has a valid operator licence.
Fraser Eagle also ensures it has copies of all the supplier’s insurance documents and that drivers are cleared by the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB).
The compliance team carries out regular checks on all of this information, which is stored on custom-built IT systems.
